Henry Slade remains with Exeter Chiefs nursing shoulder injury as England squad travel to Portugal for Six Nations training camp

Henry Slade has not travelled to Portugal for England’s Six Nations training camp after suffering an injury. The Exeter Chiefs centre, 24, picked up a shoulder knock on Saturday against Glasgow in the Champions Cup so the decision was made for him to remain at the club for assessement. Eddie Jones has taken the remainder of his 35-man squad to their traditional pre-tournament base in the Algarve. The national squad are preparing to take on Italy in their opening match of the Six Nations in Rome on February 4.
